BEFORE THREAD VEIN REMOVAL
Before your thread vein removal you will have attended a consultation to go through the complete process. All questions will have been answered and you will have a full understanding of what is involved. Pre-care advice will have been given, but if you are inbetween consultation and treatment you can read pre-care advice below. To be on the safe side, please disclose all medical conditions, skin treatments, and all medication you have been taking prior to the consultation. Please disclose all current medication too. Please arrive at your appointment with no skin products or makeup on your skin.
- Limit sun or sunbed exposure, and self tanning methods prior to your treatment day. All tanning methods should be stopped at least 4 weeks prior.
- Avoid medications such as retinol. This is because it may be the case that your skin becomes more sensitive due to their use. All advice is in conjuntion with following the guidance of your doctor.
AFTER THREAD VEIN REMOVAL
- Avoid strenuous exercise
- Hot areas like saunas should be avoided for 2 days
- we advise not to allow how water to come into contact with the treated for 2 days
- Keep sun exposure to an absolute minimum during the whole treatment course.
- Call the clinic should you have any query about the post-treatment process if in any doubt.
